About

Hazrat Pir-O-Murshid Inayat Khan Over a century ago, the musician and mystic Hazrat Inayat Khan (1882-1927) brought Sufism from his native India to the West. Traveling, teaching and initiating seekers across the United States and Europe, he sowed the seeds of a world movement. Now, as President of the Inayati Order, Pir Zia Inayat-Khan continues his grandfather’s work of catalyzing authentic spiritual development.

These pages provide an introduction to Pir Zia and Sufism as it was lived and taught by Hazrat Inayat Khan. If you would like information beyond what is found here, including details on local centers, please visit inayatiorder.org.
